I’ve been publishing my yearly Favorites for 3 years now, and it’s getting lonely. A few people write back and tell me their favorites, or how they did (or didn’t!) like some of mine, and I want to know more. (My friend Tom nearly panned one of my top albums of 2020, saved only by the one cover song on the album.)
Would you consider writing your own “Top 5” list this year?
I’ve set up a collaborative publication on medium.com, designed to hear from more of my friends. What were your favorite shows, books, music, podcasts, or family members of 2021?
You can write on one or many of these, no rules really, except that the submission deadline is Dec 20th.
If you’re interested in sharing with me and others on this public site, jot down a few of your thoughts and tips to get started are here. It’d be great to know what you enjoyed this year!
Dan
p.s. It doesn’t take a lot of words. here’s an example from 2019 that will give you a feel for the brevity.
